Hello, I am trying to run a jarfile from terminal (because it won't launch normally by itself), and was wondering how to give permission to terminal to access my .jar file.

MacBook Pro Late 2011, 2.5Ghz 750GB, 8GB RAM 1333Mhz, 17''.
iMac Late 2012, 2.9Ghz, 8GB RAM 1600Mhz, Nividia Geforce GTX 660 512MB, 27''

Can you post the command you are trying to run?

Instead of placing your computers below every post, you should make a signature- go to the User CP, right below the "Front Page" button.
