Another advantage the Mini has (other than size/weight)
I loved my iPad 3 (now given to the wife) and one of the things I used it for was attempting to learn to draw/sketch. This worked pretty well on the 3, but it was easy to keep getting your palm/wrist accidentally messing up the 'artwork'. In fact I found it quite difficult to avoid it given the screen size.
I find the Mini (for me) makes a better drawing tablet with much less area for accidental touches. ProCreate works very smoothly, no issues at all. Wish I could actually draw, but we've all got to start somewhere - here is a rough one I did earlier, working from a great Manga book.
