It's actually far easier to just train your brain to see 0.99 as 1. You find it works for all situations, including physical price tags which can't be digitally adjusted.

So perhaps the problem here is you. Someone has to say it.

I know why they display it and all the marketing behind it but I dont need a rounded up price to realize what Im spending or wether I want to buy it or not:D

My personal agenda with this is mostly aesthetic, with my region formatting it often says

cost: 7.0...

the ... being that the number 0 and the letters "kr" are cut of.

or it can say 6.9... depending on if its in the App Store, In App Purchase and so on.

For the record 7kr is about $1

It's like the movie Office Space. The OP is trying to write an app that charges every download $1 instead of $.99 and then he will skim the penny. Those pennies will add up to millions! :p. J/K OP.
