I have an external LG Blu Ray Burner that Ive been using for about a year now. It works fine, except for the fact that every few minutes, the light flashes a couple of times, and it makes a clicking sound. There is nothing wrong with it, and I thought maybe its because there are is no mac software for it. Anyone experience this before?

If there's no disk in the drive when it does this, it could be looking for a disk. This could be as simple as dust on the disk present sensor. I would recommend giving it a blast of air with the tray open. You don't need to get canned air if you don't have it, provided you have good strong lungs.

The LG DVD drive in my PC stopped reading blank DVDs, then movie DVDs, and finally data DVDs. It worked with CDs. I gave it a few good blasts of blowing into the drive, and now all is okay. It was obviously dust on the DVD laser.
