My mom knows I smoke and when she read this she thought this was a legit article. Before she even showed me I said its a bunch of crap. It was only when I showed her other articles and headlines from the same site that she changed her mind. Mainly the "Obama changes the American flag" article where there's a pot plant on it lol. She said she would've believed it. This is what's wrong with America, people will actually believe an article from something like the Onion or this. They won't actually look into the claims or who it was written by, etc. Just my 2 cents. People actually believe this crap.

In related news, Especially with this April coming up, officials in Colorado should have seen this one coming. I'll let NPR tell the rest of the story.

Mile Marker 420 Repeatedly Stolen In Colorado
January 13, 201412:00 AM

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

Good morning, I'm Steve Inskeep.

Colorado officials might have seen this coming. The state legalized marijuana. The number 420 is associated with marijuana culture, and so it was time to protect Mile Marker 420. The sign has been repeatedly stolen from I-70; it's a rare find since most interstates are not long enough to need a Mile 420 sign. Officials hope they've now secured the highway. The mile 420 sign has been replaced by a new one, reading: Mile 419.99.

It's MORNING EDITION.
Mile Marker 420 should be one mile east of Stratton, Colorado, on I-70. If you Street View it in Google Earth or Google Maps, You'll notice the westbound mile marker there, approx. 1/2 mile east of the exit. The eastbound marker is missing.

You can't make this **** up.

BL.

Should that not read 419.99?

I would have thought that a mile marker of '420' with a picture of President Reagan would be safe.... Then again, maybe not.

Looking at US 40 in Colorado, mile marker 420 seems to be missing from that road as well. In Nebraska, there is actually a sign for Exit 420 at Ashland which appears to be intact I guess the stoners in that state are too wasted all the time to bother stealing signs.
