10.8.1 Question about Reminders

Does anyone know if 10.8.1 make Reminders a full screen app?

It's so odd—and annoying—that it's current not?

Do you really need that much space for reminders? I find it has the right amount of space, just needed for a quick reminder of something to do, not a whole story.

It's not about space, it's about working in full screen mode for all of my apps, keeping the same gestures and workflow. It's less efficent (for me) to switch metaphors, and it's peculiar that Apple makes everything full screen—including Messages which needs even less space—except reminders.

it's a consistency of experience issue.

So, does anyone know if Full Screen Reminders is coming in 10.8.1?

BWhaler,

It's not required or necessarily desirable that all apps be able to go full screen. Look here:

http://developer.apple.com/library/m...uidelines.html

Then scroll down to the section titled:

Allow Users to Go Full Screen (if Appropriate)

"Reminders" is an app that does not scream for full screen, that's for sure.

But Messages does?

It's just an option, and every other Apple offers it. Every. Other. One.

Surely just having an option isn't terrible?

Patience. I'm not on ML right now but I think Full Screen Chess didn't happen until 10.8. (I think?)

My guess here.

We might see messages on a future Apple TV that will have to be fullscreen. The reminders app probably won't be on the Apple TV.

Messages is much more of candidate.....I can see no good reason to make it a full screen app other than you want it to be....
