iPhoto backup plan?
Hello,
If I back up iPhoto like this... (User Name) -> Pictures -> iPhoto Library, and drag-drop to the external hard drive window ...and I take that external to another Mac, can I click on the iPhoto icon that is on the external without messing up the iPhoto library that is already on that computer? Thanks, Cfs |

In theory, yes. You would start iPhoto while holding down the Option/Alt key and then choose which Library you want it to use.

IPhoto Library
You can also go to
File>Export>Export iPhoto Library You can choose where to save it to and if you tick the save events in folders if you restore at a later date it will automatically recreate your events, not your Faces data though

I don't think it does as I've tried this in the past best to do both I think. I know that what I said works & it's actually really easy to do
