VLC Playlists via Rowmote?

G'day,

Just trying to set up a G4 Mac Mini as a HTPC.

I see that VLC has the option to create playlists... Is there a way to make them accessible (ie choose one and play it) via the Apple remote/Rowmote iPhone app?

Also can they be set to appear when VLC is started, as when I created a playlist, then quit VLC and re-opened, the list was no longer on the sidebar...

This make any sense? :}
