[iPad] Confused, about to purchase iPad 4 (craigslist vs bestbuy)

Best buy has the iPad 4th gen for $539.99 (taxes = $566).
theres a person selling me his ipad 4th gen scratch, dent free ($475)
this is a no brainer, obviously get it from craig, ill be saving money.
well bestbuy has this holiday return policy until jan 24.
should i go to bestbuy and get it there knowing i can get my money back until jan 24 and till then look and see what the ipad 5 is going to have and return it to purchase iPad 5?
or save money now and just get it for 475.
what would you guys do? thank you.

If you are unsure about the iPad 4 - buy from BestBuy - return by Jan 24th.

Go for it - borrow it until Jan 24th...dont lose the receipt.

No one knows when iPad 5 is coming out. If the iPad goes back to its yearly cycle, then it will come out in March, but it could be later.

Just get the iPad from Best Buy; the new iPad has been out for less than a month, and someone is willing to discount it that much on craigslist? Sketchy...

Be careful and be sure to check the model number to ensure it is indeed an iPad 4. Assuming you go the craigslist route that is.

So they will give him full price with a store credit. Man, he could sell that credit to someone and only lose 30-40 buck. Sell it to you and he loses 90.

I'd definitely deal with BB. Rule of thumb for me, unless I know the person I would not buy anything from CL unless it was a kickass deal. You're not saving much and like others said, if you get buyers remorse you can always get your money back.

I bought my iPad mini from a greedy sucker on Craigslist. It was sealed, brand new. The seller even let me open and run the serial # in front of him before handing over the cash. Sometimes Craigslist can be legit.

Yes but then he has to meet with people twice. It's a pain in the ass already.

huh? He could turn around and sell the store credit to a customer at the store. Or put it on Ebay.
