Had a short while at the Botanic Gardens in the city yesterday while the wife saw the dentist. I decided to just visit one area, a nice old glass conservatory surrounded by cacti.

Finally got back to shooting some film again.
It was a frustrating process as I couldn’t get my scanner to work properly and therefore the first 30 scans turned out to be digital gobuldy gook!
I took three cameras on holiday with me: one digital, one medium format film and one p&s film.
I was almost quite upset that I had made the wrong decision putting the emphasis on film and had essentially lost snaps of the holiday but after countless hours online trying to find some new ways to use my scanner and software I am starting to get some good scans!
As always, comments are appreciated!

I've seen a lot of amazing skies after Kansas thunderstorms, but tonight's sky took the cake. It was on fire!

Hi Guys. My first attempt with a proper camera. I realise the subject is not all that and compared to some of your work it is really quite lame, but to me all I can say is wow! So much detail and no noise at all even when viewed on my iMac. The detail on the sunflower would have been lost on my previous point and shoot. Can't wait until I actually know what I'm doing with the camera!
