Which machine? If you mean the 2.6 GHz i7 Mac mini (Late 2012), the data sheet for the processor says, that the memory controller supports
- DDR3 RAM (1.5 V)
- DDR3L RAM (1.35 V)
and
- DDR3-RS RAM (1.5 V, Reduced Standby)
- DDR3L-RS RAM (1.35 V, Reduced Standby)

so it will be fine to use RAM that are designed for PC? U know some ram says Mac compatible, some don't.
Yes it is the latest Mac Mini base model 2.5 i5
1600 MHz RAM needs more power. 1.5 V RAM needs more power. So if you want a cool and efficient 2012 Mac mini, use DDR3L (1.35 V) RAM, and if possible 1333 MHz RAM.Instead of starting another thread I thought I would ask in this one: Is there any advantage in using 1.35V ram instead of 1.5V?

So is there any performance difference though between the 1.35 or 1.5V ram?
