How Long Should The iCloud Upgrade Take?

Yesterday around this time (give or take a few hours) I upgraded my iCloud from the free 5GB to the $20/year 15GB plan. My iCloud shows that it has not been upgraded yet (shows a full 5GB still) and simply is the way it has been for the past few weeks, full and unable to complete a backup.

Should I try upgrading again or wait? I mean if it's normal for it to be over a day for the upgrade I'd be surprised.

And to those of you who don't use the free plan, how long did it take for you to receive your additional space?

Thanks

I'm wondering if there isn't something wrong with iCloud today. I'm not getting my email account access for any boxes (see my thread I just posted on this) as of late morning (US Pacific time) and even now (1:30 pm).

Hmmmm... Maybe there is something wrong with iCloud then. I'm hesitant to buy it again, but I don't think it's normal to wait this long without any confirmation or indication that I purchased it.

I'm sure on the Apple website there's a Customer Service section where you could check the status via phone call or email. I recommend phone call because the answers are immediate.

PS - My email situation cleared up. I have a feeling a photo attachment I tried to email was too "something" for the app to handle. It may have had an error in it - everything tanked after a while and I couldn't do anything. Ended up deleting the iCloud mail account, doing a hard reset, re-activating the mail account. Seemed to take care of whatever the issue was. For a while before I did this, I actually had two of every mailbox. Very, very weird - but likely operator editor. Whatever it was, it locked up the iCloud account for my iPhone and iPad. All better now (I hope)!
