Any Rumors of Retina 27" Displays?
Like the title says, I was wondering if there was any rumors of Apple releasing any 27" displays using the Retina displays? I am really amazed with the display of my iPod Touch5 display that I really would like that type of clarity in a desktop display. I figured they already have 15" MBP models it couldnt be to much longer.

Plenty of rumors, but they're all unsubstantiated and unlikely. I don't think they have even created a 5120×2880 27" panel in the lab, much less have one ready for mass production.

Even if Apple or any other company launched a 4K monitor tomorrow it would cost $20,000 (http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money...dtv/57414472/1). Hopefully the manufacturing process for large, high-density panels gets cheaper quick. I think we'll be waiting a few years, at least.

They can barely make a normal 27", so Retina is a ways off

Had no idea they would cost so much considering the cost of the retina MBP.
I picked up a Asus 23" LCD fir 150 USD, but my wife mentioned I should get a Apple one to match come my birthday this summer. I was hoping the resolution would be much higher on the Thunderbolt displays due to the cost, then I realized that they are same price as comparable to other brands like Samsung for the cost-per-resolution ratio. But the TBDs have few more added connections for devices. Which made it a over all best choice. But yall know this. Anyhow I just wanted a small pixel size more comparable to the retina displays since I have started learning digital photography.

I don't think so, the price for it would be really high.
