Just bought my iPhone 5!! So excited!! Looking to get unlocked for work?

Hey guys, I just bought my iPhone 5 from ATT in socal area, i gave my iphone 4s to my son and finaly upgraded!! Anyways i travel alot for work to austrailia and usa often for investment meetings and etc. How does it work when you travel to another country can i bring my new iphone 5 with me and just use the roaming? i dont mind the extra charges of roaming.

I was looking into factory unlocking my iphone like i did with my 4s. I found that article online, can anybody vouch that this works? thank you very much.

Just buy an unlock from ebay and use a local prepaid SIM card wherever you are traveling too.
