2011/11" not charging battery.

Yesterday I noticed that the battery charge icon says "(Not Charging)". Also, it's only got about 6 minutes of battery power left, even though I haven't been using it unattached from AC power (other than in sleep mode while moving between AC power sources). About This Mac report is at the bottom of this post. Is there anything I can do, myself, to fix this? Do I really need a new battery this early in its life (17 months)?

Does the charging light come on? If not, the charger may have died.

I bought a 2011 MBA last September and within 6 months, I went through 3 chargers. It turns out there was something wrong with the MBA so it was exchanged this past April and haven't had a problem with the new one since.

It looks like your battery is pretty much toast. Take it to Apple and they can test to see if it's defective. If it is and you have AppleCare, they will replace it free. If it's not defective or you don't have AppleCare, you'll have to pay for a new battery.
