iPod classic problem

My battery icon is frozen at "charging" even if unplugged and when I turn it off it shows the charging screen...I tried resetting and restoring, both did not work

Try to reset your iPod Classic when it's both plugged or unplugged and do that multiple times.

This might be helpful, too.

If nothing of the above works, you are in need of a new one, I'm afraid.
