Names and numbers still show up after deleted?

I deleted some contacts but in messages when I start typing M initial it will for ex show up Matt even though I deleted it.

Did you do facebook integration? That might be your problem.

Nope not on Facebook. And it's weird cause in contacts app doesn't show but in messages when you start typing initials of the contact it shows.

Try resetting the keyboard dictionary in settings, general, reset. That may clear it out.

I'm having the same issue and is does not work! Settings>general>reset>reset keyboard dictionary.

i know my contacts sync to icloud, but i deleted it and it backed up to icloud so it is erased on all my other devices! eh no big deal i guess, but it is wierd.

Im hoping its a bug or sometuing nd will be fix in 6.1. Kinda annoying for me!

not sure; but did you also deleted all communications in Message ? Or any eMail still around. I think it not only search in contacts but also recent communications.

yes i did and if i type the initial in messages app on ipad it doesn't show, but somehow it stays on iphone.
