So i have a first gen macbook 1,1 and I am towards the end of my upgrade and revival so I figured I would ask one more question before finishing it up.

Would it be helpful to my system to redo the heatsink compound with article silver or something of the sort? Vs. Leaving the old on.

When I says helpful I am taking about heat and if it is going to stay any cooler

Yes. A proper application of arctic silver 5 is far superior to the stock (sloppy, excess) paste.

I have a few threads on me replacing the stock paste with AS Ceramiqué on MacBook/Pros
