Not that it's psychopathic or anything, but iTunes is behaving strangely. In the last couple of weeks, possibly after the latest update, whenever I right click and select "show description" in the list of podcasts, the description dialog does not appear. The focus leaves the main window, so the dialog lives in some lost world. Since the dlg is modeless, the menus are still active. Only by hitting the spacebar (and starting the selected podcast) is the dialog state cleared, closing the (invisible) dialog. esc and return get the 'clunk' no response.

However...

When I select "check for updates..", the "checking for updates" progress dialog appears, but then the response dialog doesn't appear. Being that it's a modal dialog, the interface is frozen, menus disabled. spacebar or return will clear the invisible dialog and return control.

Any others experiencing this?

(Just bought latest Intego suite and scanned the machine. Nothing found....)

latest iTunes: 10.7
Snow Leopard: 10.6.8
