Hi guys, with my android phone (Samsung Galaxy Nexus, running Android 4.2.1) I use a service/app to send sms through the PC/Mac called mightytext:
http://mightytext.net/

The service runs fine on my Windows PC's and ran fine on my previous Macbook (late 2009),although when sending sms through it's web app from the powermac
https://mightytext.net/app/

it crawls, I write one letter, only about one second or more it appears.
I've tried different browsers (safari, tenfourkit, tenfourfox, camino, demeter, etc) ones perform better than others but overall all have the same terrible performance.
Is any tweak that I can do to help this perform better?
Talked with the devs and they say it's made using javascript and html like most web apps.
I have the latest java installed (osx updates).
Any help?

JavaScript is not Java. Each browser will have its own JavaScript engine, and that is where the slowdown will be occurring. The fastest PPC one is probably that of TFF (TraceMonkey).

I'm afraid you're pretty much out of luck.

Versions before version 1 were beta and PowerPC compatible.

Here is version 0.9.6.

Thanks a lot,
I managed to find that here:
http://rodolfohernan20.blogspot.pt/2012/10/fluid-for-mac-os-leopard-power-pc.html

Made the app using

https://mightytext.net/app/

Works much better than on browser version.
Will the apps created work on tiger?
This is very nice for facebook too!
I will put it on the FAQ soon.

Edit: managed to find more apps like fluid:

Direct Url:

Mozilla Prism:

edit2:
tried the app created on 10.5 with fluid and it doesn't work in tiger, will try the other two.

Heh, I didn't know something like this existed. It's very interesting that you got a performance increase as it's the same WebKit core underneath.

It's not anything super hiper mega different in terms of performance, but it's worth the try, makes things a little better.

Cool! Facebook runs pretty fast with Fluid. Didn't work on Tiger? :( I wonder if there's a Tiger version running somewhere...
