Apple TV and android
Is there an app that will allow me to view my various Android devices on a TV using Apple TV wirelessly?

Nope, iPhone only. Thats the way Apple gets you to buy into their ecosystem.

Urrgghh... i should've figured. Do you know any good alternatives that would let me connect my macbook and various android devices to my plasma tv wirelessly?

Thanks but not quite what im looking for. Basically i need an app with a mirroring feature so that my android devices can be used on Apple TV

Ah, right. No, there is really nothing that can do that on any TV device, let alone computer. Well, there is one for a computer, but it's not ready for primetime. The frame rate is horrible.
