In any case, I had been sent a survey asking me how I felt my experience discussing things with Apple Customer Care went and I just typed out how I felt about things. Two days later I get a notification that my item will be here tomorrow. Whether that is because the re-entered the store again (likely) or they did something I'm happy it's all resolved. 2 day shipping from the US to Canada is very quick, usually a week. Too bad I have no contact to e-mail to give a thanks to. edit: nevermind, Apple called me as a follow up to the survey. Very nice guy, just wanted me to clarify what had happened. Advised me that it was a problem on their end that it took nearly two days to process (which is why customer service couldn't cancel the order). Nice touch on their part. Glad I picked up the phone since it said "Texas" on the call display which usually means telemarketing scammers :P

as an aside the refub me has added more info. my email notice came at 1 :22 pm I opened it at 1:52 pm went to the refurb store and the 2012 was sold out, the new info below. gives full stats on arriva; and sell out. So it was in the store at 1PM my notice came at 1:22 pm. it does confirm my early post above that the refub me app can be a bit slow to notify. So if you really want something you can do a random click every once in a while. I have the mini refurb in my book marks bar and click it every once in a while.
