Having only achieved 30 - 40 MB/s transfer speeds using a USB2 Transcend Storjet External Hard Drive, I am interested in what sort of transfer speeds people are getting using USB3 External Hard Drives with the mid 2012 MBA's

Thanks :)

I copied over a gigabyte in a few seconds to a western digital passport 3.0 usb drive. I dont know if its because it was coming off of a ssd of my air or what but it seemed faster then other computers i use with usb 3.0 and standard hard drives.

I can tell you that usb 3.0 is a wonderful thing and its making me consider upgrading all my 2.0 usb flash drives. waiting sucks.
