What do you think of this?
So I'm looking to upgrade my hard drive in my late 2011 13in macbook pro. I started looking into SSD's but for the space I would need it would cost way to much. I came across this and I've seen actual videos of it being much faster than a normal HD and actually not much slower than a true SSD. Thoughts? Anyone have one of these installed? Thanks!

Well if you dont want to go SSD+External, this IS the way to go. you can sometimes snag a 400-500GB SSD for less than $400.

Several threads on this already, just do a search. They have their proponents and detractors. I'm pro as I have 2 of them and they just make an enormous difference in speed/snappiness versus stock. Still, when 512GB SSDs drops to $150-200 area, the MoXT is toast.

If you're using THAT much storage, why not have a NAS that will provide some redundancy and awesome features.
