Hello,

For a few months now, I have been getting the message that items will be permanently deleted, after dragging them to the trash. I have been entering my password, clicking ok and not worrying about it.

Yesterday, I realized that, although my trash appears to be empty (and both Empty Trash and Secure Empty Trash are grayed out in Finder), none of my disk space is freed up when "deleting" files.

(I am using a MacBook Air, running 10.8.4)

So far, I have tried the following:

-Restart
-Shutdown
-Verify Disk (errors were found)
-Repair Disk (said operation was successful)

Does anyone have advice for next steps to try?

Thank You,

Glass
