What is your opinion about Intel or the Samsung 830 Series SATA III 2,5" SSD - 256GB Basic SSD drive?

Can get this Samsung drive pretty cheap other is Intel 520 Series SATA III 2,5" SSD - 240GB is about 70$ more expensive than Samsung.

Worth the price diff or is the Samsung a good choise?

Best regards Dax71

Samsung is an excellent choice. I put the 128GB version in mine and it is super fast. My opinion is to not spend the extra money.

Also I believe Apple uses the Samsung SSD's

ssd samsung 830

i just purchased two ssd samsung. one was a 256gb for my new mac mini 2012. i got the bigger one cause it gives me 128gb for mac and 128gb for windows. i use a owc qx4 6tb raid enclosure to store my movies. with the price so cheap i also grabbed a 128gb for my arcade cabinet windows box cause boot times are incredible. bang for the buck samsung is the way to go. ssd's have become so cheap compared to what they were just a short time ago. good luck and enjoy whatever you choose.

Actually the SSD inside the new Minis are Samsung's 830 with a custom firmware made by Apple I believe. So good choice!
