iPad Transfer ATT unlimited data from iPad 3 to mini?

Before I jump on the mini-train, I was wondering if it is possible for me to transfer my beloved unlimited data plan from my ipad 3 to my ipad mini? I did a search, but I'm finding conflicting answers.

Not concerned about the sim actually fitting part of it, but whether it is possible/has been done.

I have successfully transfered my unlimited plan from iPad 1 through 4. It shouldn't make any difference if you are transferring to a Mini.

On the new mini, it asks if you'd like to transfer existing service. Select yes, fill out the info and you're done.
