How do you change the voice for voice navigation?

On one phone the voice is female on the other phone the voice is male!

Once you route a place and tap on 'Start', there should be automatic voice guidance. It works for me every time. As for changing female to male, I would like to know!

Didn't they record Celebrities voice navigation for GPS?

I want a Sarcastic navigation voice to be put on my gf's phone to taunt her!

I'd like to know too. A friend has the female voice which is much clearer and I have the male voice...both iPhone 5

The fact that there is a male and female voice is intriguing. Why not just let us have the option to choose? So is it just a draw of luck to get female or male?..

mine is female for google maps as well. i dont seen any settings that can change it.

It may well depend on what language phone is set to? ie, if us english, australian english, british english, etc.

Omg bingo!

There's only two English options. English (American) and British English.

American = Female voice
British = Male voice

I prefer the female voice.

Note: To change it - Go to Settings (the actual settings app) -> General -> International -> Language
