Sync ipod, without deleting music.
Just bought my first mac. I allready have a 30gb video ipod with music which i added from my vaio.
When i plug my pod into the ibook it says this pod is sync'd with another itunes library. pod can only be sync'd with one itunes library, erasing and syncing replaces the contents with this itunes library. This itunes library is empty because all my music is on my vaio. How can i get tunes from my pod to ibook without deleting, erasing my pods content. I'm abroard and all my music is at home. PLEASE HELP. |

I used iPodRip to get my music onto my new mac from my iPod; it's shareware, but does the job (it will put music in its own folder, so you have to drag and drop to iTunes). I think you hold down alt+command when you first sync your iPod to prevent iTunes from doing it (they have a good FAQ on the site that tells you what to do), but it's worked fine for me.
