Complaining about NZ prices? Why don't you buy it in Brazil then?
Just R$ 12,424.00 = US$ 5,960.00 for the same model quoted above

That's perfect timing for me.
Hope it isn't a midnight PST release. I probably won't be at home (It'd be 8AM GMT)

Just regarding the config pictured… I wasn't aware you could order the 2.7Ghz MBPr with 256GB SSD?
I just ordered a fully loaded 15" MBPr 2.7/16GB/768GBSSD from the Apple store Canada (I'm a New Zealander currently living here). As a price comparison this worked out at CAD $3,649.20 before tax (I got a $101 Black Friday discount). With tax it wipes out the Black Friday saving but effectively 'tax free' in that case. Free shipping of course and Apple's 'recycling fee'… In NZ dollars this works out with a conservative exchange rate at $4561.25. To buy the same item in New Zealand would cost me $6,019.00 NZD (effectively $1500 more). I'm happy with my purchase. Yes I could have saved $800 CAD by purchasing the 2.6/16GB/512 but I am a graphics professional who also uses FCP X, ProTools and Logic etc so I need as much ooomph as I can get. One thing in New Zealand's favour is that GST (sales tax) is always included in the ticket price. That is one thing that sucks in North America/Canada is the ticket price is usually ex tax so you have to be on your toes.
