Iphone not booting issue

my iphone 4s just froze and whenever i try to turn it on i get the apple logo first, followed by the itunes icon with the usb cable.
I did try to connect the phone to the pc and restore it, i waited till the download to complete. Once it was complete, it gave me an error of 'no network available'
Then i tried to download ios6 from a third party website 'official', it did not work either. Gave an unknown error of (3194)

any suggestions on how i should proceed?

Did you happen to save your shsh blobs through tinyumbrella recently or in the past? If you did, you might want to check out your "hosts" file:

Windows: “C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts”

Mac: “/etc/hosts” or “/private/etc/hosts”

Remove any reference(s) to gs.apple.com
example:

# 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com.

May be a stupid question but is the PC connected to the internet?
