Moving iPhoto library from 11 to 09

I have finally got my powermac setup nicely and want it to take over my iPhoto duties from my 2011 MBA.

I have iPhoto 09 on the PowerMac and can't load in the library.

I tried the right click, open package and drag in the master folder, but it still didn't work.

Am running updates now to see if that helps.

Any advice?

The iPhoto database has been converted to a newer (different) format so I don't believe you can go back to 09.

I found the answer,

I have to let iPhoto 09 make a new blank library first and then drag the masters folder from my iPhoto 11 library into the open iPhoto 09 window.

Now all my photos are importing.
