Hello hello, I think I'm in the right place to ask this questions...

I'm looking for an online backup service which meets the following criteria;
-Minimum 256 bit encryption
-Encryption on backup transfer and server storage
-Mac/PC compatible
-Server and company based outside UK/USA

It would be a bonus if it had a iPhone app but it's not critical.

Cheers in advance!

Cheers I appreciate it! SecureSafe seems to fit the bill so far.

Tried Vembu storegrid?

Have you checked out storegrid? Meets all the criteria you have mentioned.

Ooo, thanks. Bit put off by the bad reviews for speed, especially as I'm Australian based. I'd expect there'd be an influx with this deal too.

Considering SOS Backup. I'm intrigued by their ultra safe option which states; 'With ultra-safe, not even our engineers can decrypt it because it requires the client's password to be decrypted and this is not stored in plain text on the server side.'

Does that mean if a government agency issued a subpoena all that would happen is the encrypted backup/account info would be handed over but not the contents of the backup itself?
