OS X: Xbox 360 wired pad issue on mac

My xbox wired pad isn't recognised automatically in borderlands 2 (STEAM) at any point unlike the first borderlands which did. I had an issue with rage from aspyr with the same problem. I deleted the folder 360ControlDaemon in startup items rebooted and still nothing. I then downloaded different drivers separately from tattiebogle and another website still nothing. If anyone can help then please reply thankyou
