i think he means he feels liberated he didn't spend extra money to upgrade to 5S like the rest of us.

i said the same thing when the 4S came out but now i have scuffed and dented iPhone 5S i want to upgrade to anything but i'm not sure if it's the right thing to do!

Now i feel guilty.

I've always skipped the S upgrades, never felt vaguely compelled to upgrade, even though it'd be a fairly simple matter for me as I'm contract free unlocked. This is the most impressive S update yet though imo and I find myself severely tempted. I always have a 6 digit pass code set to 5 minute delay and the prospect of kissing that goodbye is incredibly alluring.

I do get the sneaky feeling Touch ID might suffer from Apple version 1.0 blues though.....
