Software compatibly

I own a 3rd gen iPad and I'm now considering to switch to a mini;
Can anybody tell me if there's any software that can run on a 3rd gen device but that will not be fully compatible with a mini ipad? Or I will be able to run all the apps I'm now using on mi "big" iPad?

Thanks for your comments!

Its an iPad so it runs all iOS apps, whether its iPhone based apps or iPad apps. Obviously it won't take advantage of any apps that includes retina graphics but I've not heard one report and experienced one issue running apps.

Apple does a great job at avoiding fragmentation which compatibility issues would create
