i get macworld.
i just switched to mac in May of this year.
i find it a great magazine.
lots of good stuff for a noob.

i use macworld, ever since i saw that one huge one at barnes and nobles(UK version), it was something like a year end magazine...i fell in love with it and started subscribing...Mac Addict is good but too pricey for me

I recently subscribed to MacWorld (US). I often read MacAddict and the UK version of MacWorld at Borders (they don't care if you sit there and read magazines as long as you buy something in the cafe). I've been most impressed with the UK version of MacWorld, but it's very expensive to buy over here.

I was going to switch to mac addict because I was supposed to get a couple free copies when I registered my wife's mini. While waiting for those to arrive, I kept getting pleading messages from MacWorld to continue. They even sent a message that said: if you say you don't want MW anymore we won't send you any more junk mail. I said no and the mail kept coming anyway!

Just as well. Mac Addict never came through, so got a one year sub to MW for under $20 (US).
MW is ok, though they could do with being a little less apple's cheerleaders. I'd like to see them cover issues like MBP's mooing, staining on MB's etc... And Jason Snell looks like my former boss, which creeps me out every time I open MW!

How many pages does each one have?

MacAddict is an 80 pg. issue. It's great for product reviews mostly. Has some good info on how to's and some quirky articles. Every time my subscription is close to expiration I think I will not renew but they call and convince me to. Oh well, its pretty good.

Macworld is about 100 pages - but a lot of ads. There are some good reviews and product tips too. Usually no humor.

Not only is it still around, it sems to be the only one making progress, if this press release is accurate:
