Current music SUCKS. All the dynamics are blown out and the volume is CRANKED.

Compounding matters is the digital way in which one can create something in "perfect" time, not to mention the things that are "created" (more like manufactured) in the studio usually suck.

Human beings playing instruments together are NOT in perfect time. Furthermore, when studio recordings were analog, mistakes in performances were made. And nine times out of ten those "mistakes" made the songs better and/or affected the creative process to take the song(s) to places it might not have gone.

But, as usual, the record companies get a hold of something that seems to be popular and they absolutely run it into the ground.
