Question MBA 2011 to 2012: Graphics performance increase?

I'm planning to switch from a 2011 13" Base MBA to a 2012 11" 128/8/i5 MBA soon. Now my question is, as I sometimes use my Air hooked up to an external 1080p monitor for medium-heavy gaming (which the 2011 model actually handles surprisingly well): Will I notice a significant performance increase when gaming on my external monitor?
I know that the Air isn't really much of a gaming machine, but I've found it to be more capable than I had expected it to be. The only issues I've ran into so far is slight lag on newer games (Assassins Creed, etc.) when playing on higher resolutions (usually 1600x900 or 1920x1080).

I'm getting the 8GB of RAM, so I think this will improve the graphics performance as well, is that correct? Can anyone who switched from 2011 to 2012 confirm this?
Thanks in advance!

Cheers

I have the i5 2012 13" with 4gb ram. I run Diablo 3 on med-high settings with light lag only occurring during very busy moments in the game. Pretty damn good for an ultrabook with integrated graphics.

I've had it for a week...I'm returning it and upgrading to the i7 with 8GB ram. Should improve graphics even more from what I understand.

Good luck and enjoy.

Thanks for the replies
Just ordered the 2012 13" 128/8/i5 model, as the price difference from the 11" to the 13" was only 50$. I don't care that much anyways since I have it hooked up to a 27" monitor at home most of the time.
I hope this one will handle games even better...
Am I right about the 2012 8GB RAM model having 512mb of graphics memory vs the 384mb in my current one?
Also, will I feel a processor performance increase?

Cheers
