Ok, here is the scenario. I am trying to slowly cut the cord, and already have a Roku 3. Amazon's 720 3.5mbps service looks very good on my 65", but just in my reading I think the 1080p tv shows on itunes could look even better. My DSL connection runs 5.0mbps to 5.9 most of the time, so the Amazon/Roku combo works perfectly.

I was doing the math, and those speeds dont work with with trying to sit down and instantly watch some itunes 1080ptv shows at night. My question is, can I download tv episodes ahead of time, say over night, to my dell laptop via itunes, then play them over airplay instantly the next evening?

Thanks, hope that makes sense with what Im trying to do.
