I charged my ipod touch this morning and i checked it an hour or two later and it said it was fully charged. about 30 mins after i unplugged it, i heard my anydo app tone and went to check it. after unlocking it, i saw that my battery level had dropped 10-20%.

I didn't have any apps running, I've turned off all the unnecessary bells and whistles.

Anyone else getting this error?

Mine died overnight a few weeks ago with Beta 6. I made sure mail checking was set to manual and turned off background refreshing for all apps. It hasn't done that again so I guess it worked.
