iphone 3gs not detecting sim
my friend got an unlocked iphone 3gs from at&t...
he is using it in india, when he inserted a local sim, it doesnt get detected... the box claims its an unlocked version... the phone is already updated to ios6... any idea what can be done to fix this??? any help would be much appreciated... |

if it's an AT&T 3gs it is not factory unlocked.
check and see if it's unlocked on this site with the IMEI number: http://dev.mk/iphone-simlock-status-imei-checker/ What is the BB of the phone?

Did he buy this phone on the resale market ?
Sounds like he got scammed.
