Veterans Day

On a local note Veterans Day is Sunday, November 11th. A quick shout out to my brother and sister veterans past and present.

As in years past, several restaurants and other businesses are recognizing Vets with free meals and other discounts.

Also happy Marine Corp birthday.

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Remembrance Day here in Canada.

We're off to the Cenotaph later this morning to honour our veterans.
