iPad Mini w/ 720p and 1080p video CineXPlayer
Looking to get my mini very shortly, was wondering if anyone has played an 720p or 1080p content on it. What are your thoughts on playback etc? I've heard that iTunes content will only play in SD, not HD.

It will still play in HD and it looks good...nothing compared to retina, but still very usable. Also, if you airplay a movie in HD it will also still play in HD on your TV.
edit: I just noticed you were talking about a specific player...not sure on that one. |

The mini's 1.78 video playback resolution is 1024x576 which is less than HD's minimum of 1280x720. Any HD content must be downscaled to play and will not be HD when viewed.

Awesome -- well to be honest I don't care which video player, as long as it plays the content.
