I have never bought Applecare for any of my Apple products, never regreted it either.

Your statement is misleading. The $49 replacement fee is for cosmetic damage you induced or when you have damaged your phone. If the phone fails under normal use in the 2 year time period, there is no charge for a replacement.

Rocko, I'm not going to take the time to revisit a thread that I responded to 4 months ago to see if this has already been addressed. That being said, my intention was to inform, not mislead. Perhaps you ought to be more careful when you read.

I was operating under the assumption that anyone interested and doing research about AC+ would know that manufacturer defects are of course covered in AC+ just as they are in the default AC. The differences being the time frame & the accidental coverage.
