Best SSD for Mac Pro

Was just a bit confused I guess. I was just wondering if buying a SATA 3 SSD was practical for my machine (which I believe is SATA 2), or if I needed to purchase a SATA 2 drive. Which is to say, is there any benefit to the SATA 3 drives in a SATA 2. (I presume form your answer there is).

It is all a bit confusing at a possible first look into SSD's.
Yes. 4K random boosts and iops. Power use and punishment taking (longevity). They learned from some obvious mistakes. I can tell the difference from a rev2 vs rev3 SSD on same Mac Pro SATA2 controller.
