Safari crashing a lot for anyone else?

This started.....I dunno, a couple weeks to a month or so ago. When I click on a link, Safari will just disappear. App is quit, there is no warning that it crashed, nothing. If I open it back up, often the page I was on isn't open anymore, and sometimes the previous page that I just closed is open. Really not sure what's going on, but it's making me consider going to Chrome it happens so much. Clicking in my Pocket Queue, links on Fark, etc, it often just disappears. Doesn't matter if I have a lot or no apps open.

Also, on the iMac at work, Safari sometimes will just freeze up. Anything I click / move / type won't show up for 20-30 seconds. Doesn't go away until I force quit the app (goes too slow to just normal quit). Then a few hours later, it comes back. Sigh.

try to clear cache, history, cookies, etc from your browser ( reset safari ),
uninstall or disable safari plugin ( if you have ),
Update safari into latest
if still happen, try to remove safari from Mac and
download the newest safari, after that install it again,

if still happen, i dont have idea why

for iMac, it seem doesn't have enough Memory or hard drive space, but if you have enough memory and hard drive space, you can try the tips above

This is a know issue that has been going on since the ML release. many complaints on apple forums.

I just installed mountain lion today. I was getting this under Safari 6 on Lion and it's still happening with safari 6 on mountain lion.

I notice that safari slows to a crawl and the fans start on my macbook air before it happens. Pages still open fast, but links aren't active for up to a minute or two.

Been on Mountain Lion since day one.. i don't think Safari has crashed a single time for me. I'd just clear all your history, cache, etc and try disabling any new plugins and see if that fixes everything. If so, just bring the plugins back one at a time over several days or a week or two until you find the problem.

I have recently been having issues with Safari. The hangs are somewhat random, but seem to happen when switching from one tab to another. I am running Safari v 5.1.7 on a Mac Pro using OS X 10.6.8 with 12 GB of RAM. I do periodically empty the cache, but have not reset Safari or deleted and reinstalled.
