Slow server response to file edit

Hi

Sometimes the response times of the server for a file open, or file save is excruciatingly long.

I really don't know where to start except that the server runs SL and my iMac runs ML. The problem is visible on finder (getting file list), excel (open, close), etc.


Any guidance, suggestions welcome
