I connected an external drive to my Time Capsule and am using it for iTunes media storage. How do I get Time Machine to back up the drive in addition to my computer?
If it's connected to the Time Capsule directly, you can't. It needs to be connected to your computer.
Hmmm. That's unfortunate. Okay, maybe you all can help me figure out the next best option. Here's my setup right now:
256 GB Air drive (all primary files except for iTunes)
500 GB Time Capsule
1 TB external drive connected to Time Capsule (iTunes media, but only about 200 GB used)
Here is what I am thinking:
*Partition the external drive
*Use the external drive as my Time Machine drive (Partition 1)
*Back up my Air to the external drive with Time Machine
*Use Time Capsule for my iTunes Media
*Back up Time Capsule to a folder in the external drive via SuperDuper (Partition 2)
Thoughts?
Hm. Okay. Does partitioning a drive erase its contents? That's what I would do.

Okay, I'm copying files to their respective places for this to work. However, I just opened SuperDuper and it's not recognizing my Time Capsule drive. It's displaying only my internal HD and my external drive when plugged in. Thoughts? That's what I would do.
