I can see this may have gotten a little heated for some, and I don't want to throw on fuel, but...
One thing I sometimes forget is:
So when comparing through-put you have to pay attention to upper or lower case.
ie. 54Mbps=6.75MBps or a 1Gb Ethernet=125MBps
I'm sure everyone here knows this, it is just easily overlooked.
Also the test you see is a snapshot in time, if you were to see it live, it would waver up and down depending on current traffic, this is true on your internal network too, whether it is Ethernet or WiFi. The difference is one has more headroom for higher speed bursts
